Meetings are held the 2^nd Tuesday of each month at 6 PM at Station 1 located at 16035 Cypress Lane, Rogers.

Officers

Todd Weber, a lifetime resident of Rogers, has resided with his wife Jennifer in the Prairie Creek area since 2017. Employed as a Fire Captain with the Springdale Fire Department, Todd brings over 25 years of Emergency Response experience to the table. His unwavering dedication and leadership in public safety are evident in his everyday actions. Beyond his professional duties, Todd finds joy in hiking, woodworking, and traveling with his family, embracing the natural beauty of our surroundings. Todd's commitment to serving on the board reflects his passion for supporting the firefighters of the BLFD and ensuring that residents and visitors in the Beaver Lake Fire District receive the emergency services they rightfully deserve. Todd was appointed President of the Board by his peers in 2023.

Monte’s distinguished career encompasses a wealth of experience and dedication to education and community service. As a retired Professor of Health and Emergency Medical Sciences at the University of Arkansas and former Dean of Health Professions at NWACC, Monte's contributions to academia are profound. His background as a Critical Care Paramedic spanning 45 years underscores his commitment to excellence in emergency care. Monte's involvement as an instructor trainer for advanced cardiac, pediatric, and trauma life support, as well as his leadership roles on various EMS committees, including the Arkansas Governor’s EMS Advisory Council, Chairman of the Arkansas EMS Training Committee, and co-author of the Northwest Arkansas EMS Field Protocols, highlight his impact on shaping emergency medical services in our region. Dr. Monte Gagliardi's leadership as Vice President of the BLFD Board since 2022 is instrumental in ensuring the highest standards of safety and care for our community.

Laura is a Rogers native with a background in entrepreneurship and business operations. Her experience includes accounting, human resources, office administration, and IT support. Laura founded Best Sign Group at age 24 and led the company for 25 years before retiring and selling the business in 2019. Laura currently serves as the Administrative Assistant to Fire Chief Dusty Qualls, supporting daily operations and administrative functions of the Beaver Lake Fire Department. She also co-owns and manages Tucker Property Management with her husband, Russ, overseeing residential and commercial rental properties in Rogers.

Meredith Hutchins has been a proud resident of the Beaver Shores community for the past 15 years, alongside her husband Jimmy. Together, they have four children and seven grandchildren, who are the highlight of their lives. In her free time, she and Jimmy love spending time with their family and strolling through downtown Rogers at their favorite shops or the Rogers Local Food and Art Market with their dog, Levi. With 26 years of dedicated service at Pinnacle Healthcare, Meredith brings a wealth of experience in accounting, office administration, human resources, and regulatory matters. Throughout the years Meredith has supported the BLFD by providing meals, water and snacks in the summer, as well as, providing candy for the parade. She looks forward to this new opportunity to offer her additional support by serving in the position of Vice-Treasurer.

Holly Smyth and her husband Scott have lived in Rogers since 1997 and Prairie Creek since 2011. They have 2 children and 2 grandchildren, who also have spent their lives and family in Prairie Creek. Holly’s parents also reside in Prairie Creek which makes the appointment to the BLFD especially meaningful. Additionally, Holly has worked for the Mercy Health System for over 26 years as a Registered Nurse in a variety of supervisory roles and currently as a Regional Operations Coordinator for the Technology Services focusing on the electronic medical record system. Outside of her day-to-day job, Holly enjoys traveling and vacationing with her family, especially cruising and spending time with her grandkids.

Directors

Steve Long and his wife, Lea, have lived in Rogers since 1989 and Prairie Creek since 2002. A retired Rogers High School chemistry teacher, he holds degrees from the University of Arkansas and the University of Houston–Clear Lake. Recipient of numerous awards—including the Milken National Educator Award and the Presidential Award for Excellence in Math and Science Teaching—he served on boards of several science associations. Appointed to the BLFD board in 2024, Steve now enjoys retirement with family, woodworking, and leisure activities.

Jerry Hudlow, alongside his wife Charlotte, has been a steadfast presence in Prairie Creek since 2002. With over 50 years of management, leadership, and financial expertise, Jerry's skillset is unparalleled. Even in retirement, Jerry remains actively involved in consulting, church activities, and serving on the board of three non-profit organizations. On any given day, you're likely to find him on the local golf course, combining leisure with community engagement. His dedication to serving on the BLFD Board since 2023 underscores his commitment to ensuring the highest quality fire protection services for our community, all while maintaining fiscal responsibility.

Larry Smith, born and raised in Pocahontas, Arkansas, has been an integral part of the Rogers community since 1997. With a background in software development and entrepreneurship, Larry's contributions to the technological landscape are commendable. He provided software development services for NCR, IBM, and Walmart, leaving a lasting impact on these industry giants. Alongside his wife Libby of 52 years, Larry is deeply rooted in family values and community engagement. Together, they have 3 children and 10 grandchildren, fostering a legacy of love and support. Larry is a member of Fellowship Bible Church. His passion for woodworking is evident in the meticulous craftsmanship of his creations, each piece telling its own story of steadfast, patience and excellence. Larry has been serving BLFD board since 2022.

Ken has proudly called Northwest Arkansas home for more than 47 years and has spent much of his life in service to his community. He earned a degree in Business Administration and began his firefighting experience on campus, advancing to Fire Chief. He previously served as a volunteer EMT with the Bentonville Fire Department. Ken retired from the Clorox Corporation after 46 years with multiple positions in management and logistics. Active in his church and community, Ken serves on the church safety team and volunteers weekly at the community meal program. He enjoys sports, fishing, hunting, and spending time with family, especially making memories with his grandchildren on Beaver Lake.
